The 2011 MinneTESOL conference took place at the University Hotel Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On Saturday, November 5, keynote speaker Mary Lou McCloskey gave the keynote address about engaging learners in the classroom, and on Friday, November 4, Minneapolis playwright and actor Aamera Siddiqui performed some scenes from her play “American As Curry Pie” and discussed how these scenes and cultural interactions within the scenes relate to education today.
